Hi everybody!
The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible.
Please ask your questions in the thread below. In order to be able to answer your questions as quickly as possible, we ask you to have one question per post. Of course, you can make as many posts as you like in the Chat- the more the merrier!
Our eBay Community Team is made up of kat@ebay, marco@ebay and dave@ebay. Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, Fulfilment, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support. We understand that certain topics, such as concerns about businesses possibly using private accounts, can be frustrating and important to you. Please refrain from asking the same question repeatedly in our weekly live chats. We assure you that we carefully review all posts in the forum and ensure that your concerns are communicated to the relevant teams for appropriate action.
To maintain a constructive and community environment, posts that repeatedly breach this guideline may be removed. Continued violations could result in further action against your community account. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping us keep our community focused and respectful.
To ask your question, click Reply in the lower-right corner of this post, type your question, and click Reply between 2pm and 3pm. The community team will answer each incoming question in chronological order and will quote the original question in each answer.
Please note that any reply without a question to the community team or discussion replies may be removed from the chat. We want to keep on track to get through as many questions as possible. We welcome all discussion to be moved to the discussion boards.
If you missed the weekly chat time, please ask your question in the community boards and tag us or we will be back next week with another chat!
Many thanks,
Your eBay Community Team

Hi Ebay
I contacted you over a month ago (on Facebook) about the problem i've been having. The drop-down menu (if adding to a custom watch list; below the "Add to watchlist" button on an item page) has disappeared. I've done the following:
Signed in/out; cleared cookies/cache; updated browser; tried a different browser
None of which did anything.

Thank you for your reply from last week. But there seems to be no solution, category to add age -verified postage to letter openers or other allowed bladed items with SD.
"Letter openers, saws are allowed as long as sellers use age-verified delivery and this is visible on the listing": eBay's policy.
If you check at the moment the +1800 letter openers for sale on eBay: are all listed without age-verified postage.
If a crime happens with a letter opener or other bladed item sold on eBay: curious to know who will be responsible?
Need for this reason I think an urgent review how to add age-verified postage to this items. Thank you.

I added this to the report to from the previous week to the team that handle Aged Verified. I've made sure that they are aware of the concerns you raised, I will let you know when I have any sharable updates.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi @benr1987 ,
Thank you for following up. This was part of a design change on the site. You can add the item to the master Watch List, then open the master Watchlist to move the item to one of your separate lists.
We continue to share feedback received from users like yourself to the relevant team for review for future changes.
Thank you,
Kat

I did do that, (add item to the master Watch List, then open the master Watchlist to move the item to one of your separate lists). But noticed when I removed it from master watchlist, it gets removed from custom watch list as well.

Hi, Has the option to use Paypal to purchase Royal Mail custom delivery labels been removed or has one of my settings mysteriously changed, I was using Paypal on Monday, but on Tuesday it's coming out of my funds.

Hi there,
Can I ask a basic question about delivery addresses - why does eBay allow buyers to enter a delivery address but subsequently complain about it to the seller saying it is deficient and that 'there may be problems with this order that may prevent us from generating a postage label'?
These tend to be trivially fixable things e.g. adding a space into the postcode, splitting text too long to fit on a single label line, or choosing London rather than an inner-London borough name - but now with Simple Delivery the system is still complaining but some of the fields are non-editable.
Please, could the system guide buyers to enter acceptable addresses (suitable for use on your lovely labels) before accepting their order. This will surely save them inconvenience or loss, and save everyone time in the future.
Maybe there is a good reason for how the system currently works but I couldn't work it out.

I've reached out to our Parts and Accessories Team on this. They are usually involved with motor events.
I'll let you know what they come back with.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi suelel1968, thanks for your question.
Depending on which carrier you choose, the cost of your labels can be paid from your available funds, PayPal or your on-file payment method. What was the carrier if you don't mind me asking?
Thank you,
Marco

Hi @benr1987 ,
We did share this point from previous feedback received. If possible can you share a specific example like an item number that was added and got removed from your custom list. We will get it reported.
Thank you,
Kat

I received this message from a customer yeterday.
Hi, you have sent me an offer on this item, but I cant accept as I have already made 3 offers. Can you change the listing to the offer/buy it now price and then I will go in and buy it please ? Thanks
Why does accepting an offer I made have anything to do with how many offers she had made? Please can you pass it on that sellers and Ebay only make money when we sell.
Thanks

Hi suelel1968, thanks for your post.
Do you have the item number? I will pass it on for you, but I'm sure this would be better if we can pass on the example as well.
Thank you,
Marco

Lovely suelel1968, thanks for that.
I will pass that on now, but please note that this doesn't necessarily means that changes around this would be made. Anything else, please feel free to let us know.
Thank you,
Marco

It was Royal Mail. Always Paypal until yesterday and it just went straight to my funds. I had a look at payment options and paypal was just for buying and no option to change that. I was able to change it to come off my CC.
