Hi everybody!

 

The Community Chat will open at 2pm and will remain open until 3pm on Wednesday. After that it will be closed for further questions. Of course, we will continue to take care of answering any questions that may still be unanswered—We’ll get to everything as quickly as possible.

Anything we aren’t sure on we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have and we’ll do all we can to support.

Goof afternoon,

 

Hope you are all well. I will get straight to the problem I am having, any help would be much appreciated.

 

So I want to provide free next day shipping on my products. I have my same day dispatch set to 8Pm everyday including saturdays. I have made a postage policy that has free next day shipping, which I have selected from the drop down menu as Evri Next Day (1 Working day). 

 

My problem is that my two listings that I used this postage policy to test it still shows free 3 day shipping. It has been over a week with this policy in place. Why is the listing not showing as free next day shipping?

I have a question about an item I have sold. 

The buyer has paid £2.94 postage but has selected Evri drop-off postage costing £5.46 to post to Northern Ireland. 

 

How do I update the postage after the buyer paid so that I don't incur the extra postage cost?

I'm not aware of any issues with this but I'm, happy to look into it for you.

Hi @xmelaniewx , thanks for your post.

 

Once the buyer has paid, sellers should not increase the shipping price. It would need to be listed quoting that shipping cost in the listing.

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to express my disappointment with the support I have received from your team. Despite my efforts, I am currently feeling quite helpless. In March, we were contacted by eBay regarding the onboarding of e-cigarette sellers to your platform. Our company, which has been in business for 18 years, manufactures e-liquids and sells them through our website. We applied to sell on eBay, but our application was declined due to the standard of our account. Unfortunately, we were not provided with any requirements at that time. After receiving the necessary requirements from the eBay team, we made sure to fulfill all the mentioned criteria. However, a few days ago, our application was declined once again, without any explanation. This process has taken four months, and we are still unclear about the reasons for the rejection. We would greatly appreciate any assistance in understanding why our application has been declined, and how we can get approval.

Hi, 

Can you please confirm that it is against eBay policy for a private seller to add on his items that for a better deal check out his instagram name. If a business seller posted this I am sure it would be a problem. The same seller previously also used images of other sellers feedback and prices to show he was cheaper. These items were not taken down by eBay but have since ended. I have not added the seller name here but can let you know.

There's actually a tech issue for that, were working with Khoros to get it resolved. Hopefully it wont take much longer to get resolved.

I didn't know that there would be a different shipping rate for Northern Ireland or where the buyer would be located when I was listing, I'm haven't used ebay for a long time. 

 

How should I go about resolving the difference in postage rates please?

You can set up different postage rates using the Shipping rate table here .
