Hi everyone,
Our eBay Community Team is made up of marco@ebay, @dave@ebay and katie@ebay. Between us, we have knowledge in Buying, Selling, Fulfilment, Payments, and the Community itself. Anything we aren’t sure on, we’ll know the people who will be! Please ask us any questions you may have, and we’ll do all we can to support.
How the chat works:
- The chat will open at 2pm and will remain open for new questions until 3pm each Wednesday.
- We will answer the questions chronologically and will reply after 3pm if needed.
- To ask your question, click Reply in the lower-right corner of this post, type your question, and click Reply.
- We will reply quoting your question.
- This chat is designed to provide quick replies from eBay employees on subjects we can assist you with publicly.
Rules:
- One question per reply. If you have multiple questions, please do multiple replies.
- Follow the community guidelines, which can be found here.
- Your reply must contain a question. Please do not reply to another members question with an answer. Replies with no questions may be removed to help with the reading of this thread.
- This thread will close in one hour, so please open a discussion thread and @mention our team if your question is in-depth, ongoing, or more of a general complaint. This way, we can reply to you in a way that is most beneficial to all.
If you missed the weekly chat time, please ask your question in the community boards and tag us, or we will be back next week with another chat!
Many thanks,
Your eBay Community Team

Another request for the return of a removed feature. Please can we have back the Unsold Deleted link as this was very useful. In your Unsold list, when you delete an item then it's gone for good. It's very easy to accidentally delete a batch of unsold listings and there are often questions on the boards about how to recover them. Until about 18 months ago, there was an Unsold Deleted page you could go to which had an option to tick all the listings and select Undelete to bring them back - much like recovering something from your Recycle Bin. Then, suddenly and unannounced, ebay removed it and the link is now dead. PLEASE can it be returned?
Hi rainbowtrax, thanks for your post.
Yes, absolutely. I will be happy to pass that on for you, so this can be taken into consideration for future updates. Anything else, please feel free to let us know and we will be happy to pass on any suggestions you may have.
Thank you,
Marco

eBay state that EDDs are working as intended with no technical faults.
I have done extensive research on delivery options and haven't been able to find anyone who can deliver the day before an item is dispatched. The EDDs stated clearly indicate that this is possible so please could you advise which service I should be using to achieve delivery to the customer the day before dispatching the item.
Hi babybitz08, thanks for your post.
Thanks for letting us know about this, and expressing your concerns. We've been keeping an eye out lately on EDDs since we have had a few reports with concerns from sellers, so we have looked into this closely for the last few weeks and no faults were found. I understand this is probably not the answer or outcome you would expect, but I hope this clarifies everything for you.
Thank you,
Marco

I bought a dpd label through packlink on 6/2/2024 and dropped it off at local shop on 7/2/2024. dpd tracking on 8/2/2024 says there`s a delay with your package at our sortation facility Oldbury, dpd tracking answer phone says contact Packlink, How do I contact packlink because E Bay have not issued me with a GB 32 digit number !! all I have is the Tracking number. Please help, the buyer is waiting for his parcel.

Hi Dave no the edd is tomorrow.
It could be the seller is going to overnight the item to you but if they don't sent the item you should still be covered. You should be able to open an item not received case, the steps can be found here.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi rotanimretx, thanks for your question.
You can contact Packlink using this link here. They will be able to look into it for you, and assist you further.
Thank you,
Marco

Thanks for your reply Marco
I like many others sellers feel like we are banging our head against a wall with EDD and the problems it causes and showing incorect dates to buyers which then lead to disapointed buyers. Whilst I understand that there are not any bugs or technical issues with the system. The whole EDD is not fit for purpose in the way that it is designed on past data. Like many things at ebay you seem to be living and working in the past.
Instead of showing EDD, why not show buyers dispatch date and courier delivery time, then show a percentage as to when this was achieved quicker, on time or late. Then let buyer decide if the speed of delivery is acceable.

Thanks for your reply, returns_andexdisplay.
I'd be happy to pass on your feedback to the dedicated team, so they can take this into consideration for future updates. However, please note that this doesn't necessarily means that it'll be taken onboard.
Thank you,
Marco

Thanks for your reply, rotanimretx.
Could you please create a thread on this and tag me, so we can look into this for you? The chat closes at 3pm, but I am happy to assist you further if you create that thread.
Thank you,
Marco
