have i just been scammed ?

afternoon everyone

bit of a strange one here. i purchased a product for £500 after winning the auction. After some back and forth in messages, I was provided with a tracking number, which was also uploaded to eBay. The seller then proceeded to upload another tracking number and posted me my sales invoices for some unknown reason. Today, I received the letter with the sales invoice, but there was no iPad. With the Royal Mail site saying the tracking number for the iPad is still at the post office, but eBay saying it's been delivered, I'm not too sure what to believe.  The seller has asked me to wait until Monday to see if anything shows up.

Basically, I'm asking, does this sound like a scam? Or maybe a small mistake by the seller.  I purchased the iPad through eBay and PayPal

If correct item doesn't turn up open a not as described claim via Ebays MBG and escalate after 4 working days if seller doesn't issue a prepaid returns label.

Don't open a not received claim as seller can prove delivery of "something" via the tracking number.

You don't need to communicate with the seller at all, they may just waffle you to try and time you out.

The seller may be hoping that your 'sales invoices' arriving and being marked as delivered confuses the ebay refund system into believing that your ipad has been delivered ..... I really can't think of any other reason for this circumstance.

I think you're being scammed ☹️

You need to get a 'call-back' from ebay CS and talk to a human being about this.

I can't remember the link to get a call back, but I know somebody who does...........
