We bought and paid for a book from a US Book Seller about 2 weeks ago. But the seller has not dispatched the book yet. We have asked about the shipment, but no reply from the seller.
The arrival due date is somewhere end of January 2025 the seller being in USA. But it seems obvious this seller will not send the book holding the money they received.
What is the best way forward for us? Request for cancel or contact eBay support?
By the way, beware of buying from US Sellers with thousands of feedback. When things go wrong, your feedback to them will be hidden soon, and they won't care about it.
Things go wrong, then it takes long time to resolve. Not worth your time or effort.

You can't open a "not received" case to get a refund until after the estimated delivery date.

Can we cancel the transaction , get the money back, and buy from the other seller?

Only if the seller is willing to issue a cancellation.

That's not good at all. OK, will have to wait until the end of January for opening the case, or open the request for cancel. This is a unpleasant experience with this US book seller. Lessons learnt.

If it is the seller who last left you feedback, (A US bookseller) they do state this on their listings:
'Will usually dispatch within 15 working days of receiving cleared payment.'
So, your item will more than likely be posted and will arrive within the time stated when you bought it. When you buy online, it is worth reading everything carefully to avoid disappointment.

We didn't know they left feedback for us. Thanks for your info.
But the fact that the seller never replied to our message for inquiry about the shipment made us feel that the seller was not going to send the book. But we will have faith, and wait for the positive news. Hopefully the book will arrive. It was unusual that seller doesn't reply to the inquiry messages.

Their feedback suggests that you are not alone

We never have seen seller not responding to our messages from the UK sellers.

The seller had left feedback for the original poster who began this thread. I assumed that was who I was replying to in Post 6.
Have you posted in this thread from two accounts or are you a different person?
I am confused!
