You should operate all refunds / returns the correct way, that is, to open the case with eBay.
Open this case now and add the tracking number of the item sent back.
Had you done this correctly, the case would have enforced the seller to pay for that tracked return.
Too late now, listen no more to promises and excuses, just open the case, go right of the item in your Purchase History and from More Actions select Return this item. Select the reason Item Not as Described >> Does Not Match Description or Photos, enter your tracking . Once the item is received, they have 48 hours to refund you.
If this doesn't happen, you need to escalate to eBay, eBay step in and force the refund.
As said, listen to no excuses or promises from the seller to close the case early, and do not forget to escalate.
