I have one a camera on eBay. The problem is that I can not receive it untill friday at the latest. I keep emaailing him and I get no reply. If I pay now, he will send it and I won't receive it. I am getting emails from ebay saying pay now. This one says "The seller may cancel your order if payment is not received by Tue, 18 Mar. Your seller has to receive your payment before they can dispatch the item.". What can I do? He won't reply to my communications.

If you don't pay for the camera then techically it still belongs to the seller, in which case he is under no obligation to post it to you. If you really want the camera then pay up so that the seller can despatch it - if you keep on refraining from making payment then if four days go past from the date at which you won the auction the seller could end up cancelling the transaction on the basis that you failed to make payment for the camera. Should this happen then you would also end up with an Unpaid Item Strike on your account - if you earn two or more of these during a twelve month period it would significantly limit the number of sellers you would be able to buy from, as most sellers have their Selling Preferences set up to automatically block timewasters with two or more Unpaid Item Strikes on their account earned within the past twelve months.
In the event that you do keep on wasting the seller's time and this leads to him cancelling the sale due to non-payment then the seller will more than likely add your User ID to his Blocked Bidders List, in which case you would not be able to purchase anything else from that seller again once the blocks have kicked in. Therefore, if you really want the camera the sooner you pay for it the better, as eBay would then inform the seller that you have made payment and instruct him to despatch the camera.
I note in your post that you said "If I pay now he will send it and I won't receive it..." What makes you think that you will not recieve your item if you pay the seller for it? Unless the seller either fails to despatch the item or it ends up getting lost or stolen in transit then you will receive it. Even if you were not at home when the postman attempted to deliver the item, you would still receive a card informing you that a delivery was attempted and the item has been taken back to your local delivery office, at which point you can either log onto the Post Office website and arrange for redelivery at a date that is convenient to you, or alternatively you can go down to the delivery office with proof of identity and collect the item there.

'The problem is that I can not receive it untill friday at the latest.'

Do you mean you won't be home to receive your item until Fri?
(This *is* a bit difficult as the seller may recieve a 'defect' for not posting a sold item out in the time stated on the listing, even if the buyer wants the item to be 'late'.! )
If the item is being posted by royal mail; if you're not home to recieve it, it will be returned to the sorting office and you can collect it. (not sure about other delivery companies...?)

"If I pay now, he will send it and I won't receive it." Why not?
The estimated delivery dates would have been in the listing before you decided to bid.
you could end up with an unpaid strike.

I will be in hosbital from wed to fri. I just want the seller to do the decent thing and communicate with me to arange a date. Why is this so dam dificult. What is the point of contact seller if he refuses to be contacted.

If the seller is using a tracked service, you should be able to use the tracking info to rearrange the delivery to a more convenient date, or place.
It is frustrating to have had no response from the seller. They might just be slow to reply, or haven't noticed your message. I wouldn't have thought it would be a big problem for a seller to delay posting an item for a couple of days, under the circumstances - but nothing is simple on eBay these days, it seems...
All the best with hospital etc.

Given the significance of this information, why did you not include it in your original message on this thread? Had that information been available to start with a more accurate idea as to how to proceed could have been given the first time, rather than having to re-submit a second reply to the thread to take into account this new information that was not disclosed initially.
If you have still not paid for the camera by the time you read this response then in order to get around the problem why don't you see if somebody else would be prepared to take delivery of the camera on your behalf during your absence? If you can find somebody who would be willing to do so then when you go to Checkout enter your helper's address details rather than your own. That way when the payment goes through the seller will be given your helper's address as the delivery address, in which case the camera will be delivered to the person who agreed to accept it on your behalf, and you will not have to worry about the possibility of missing a delivery due to having been admitted to hospital.
If you do end up using this workaround solution to the problem, then once you get out of hospital and buy something else on eBay make sure that you switch the delivery address back to the same one that is registered on your account as being your own address. By using the workaround method I've just suggested you can choose a one-off delivery address for a particular item without having to change your default address in the fields where you save your User ID, name, address, contact number, etc...
