Hi
I recently purchased some expensive Loro Piana shoes which went through the verification process. The seller also stated that they accepted returns so I assumed it was risk free if they didn’t fit etc. When I received the shoes there was markings to one of the heels that was not shown on the photos. When I checked back at the listing it was apparent that the seller had deliberately cropped this section on the shoe to avoid it being shown. The soles of the shoes also looked more worn than in the photos. What also concerned me was the colour listed was also incorrect but this was not picked up by eBay verification. Anyway as the seller accepted returns I didn’t feel too disheartened and initiated the return. The seller messaged me asking to send photos and he would discuss with the woman who he sells on consignment for. This led me to believe that he had actually never seen the shoes himself. I sent the photos and he apologised offering me a small discount which I did not accept. He did question why verification hadn’t flagged it and I can only assume that as there was no photo for them to compare the heel to they didn’t question it. I sent the shoes back promptly and I am awaiting them to return at the verification hub to be checked that they are in original condition. I am concerned that eBay will deny this as the marks to the heel wasn’t initially flagged by them. Does anyone have any experience with this? The tag and labels are still attached they are exactly how I received them.
