I recently bought an item and checked the delivery dates quoted in the listing. Because this was coming by Evri I opted for click and collect.
First of all I noticed that I was not sent a message by Evri about the delivery, but all messages regarding delivery appeared to be coming through ebay.
Later I was beginning to wonder where my package was. I had been sent two messages on two consecutive days, from ebay, that it would arrive at Argos that day. Needless to say it didn't and it was 2 days later it did arrive.
I wanted to check the details in the original listing and went into my ebay, selected purchase history and up came the page and I selected my item and the page opened as it normally does. It then shows you the sellers current listing for the same item and offers you the choice to "see the item you bought". This used to show the full original listing including all the postage information. However this page seems to have been redesigned and none of the postage information in the original listing is shown.
I'm really hacked of with this as I believe the seller hasn't kept to the postage time scale their listing implied. Their feedback seems to hint at the seller claiming to be located in Edinburgh, but at least one buyer thinks they may actually be based in china. I only live 50 miles from Edinburgh and it took 10 days from Evri allegedly claiming they had the package to finally delivering it.
I can't help get the feeling that ebay and evri are conspiring to hide delivery information to cover up the p**s poor service evri provide. This is the 7th or 8th time in the last 6 months I've had stuff sent via Evri and on every occasion they have failed miserably to deliver on the time scale stated in sellers listings.
I don't know what deal ebay and Evri arrived at with this SD rubbish, but I get the impression that Evri have overestimated their ability to deliver on SD and can't actually meet the requirements.
