Hi The seller has received the attached message asking me the buyer to contact customer services. Neither of us understand why ?

It's just an information note (hence the 'i', top corner) that eBay seem to be adding to every message at the moment. (There is also a 'x' to close it.)
I guess it's just for the benefit of those who don't know how SD works. As usual with eBay, it's badly worded, it just means that the buyer needs to contact eBay IF an item doesn't arrive/arrives damaged.
I did a double take the first time I got one as well - I can see it might do some harm to some buyer/seller relationships!

Oh yes, I can see this worrying buyers and sellers who have no real experience of ebay..... Ebay really need to say 'IF there are problems with delivery or damage, THEN contact C.S. '
(I'm begining to think there must be a business qualification in making information confusing. Probably in order to make people do the wrong thing so they lose out...)

Hi @nonny51 ,
Thank you for your post.
Just adding to the advice already given to confirm that this is indeed an information message. Its provided to give details on Simple Delivery to help those that are not aware of it. We have had some feedback on the wording causing some confusion so we have sent this forward for review for improvement.
Thank you,
Kat

It is too wordy a
A simple "if you have an issue with this delivery please contact ebay, not the seller"
Much less confusing.

The message in the OP picture is originally to the seller - not the buyer.
