One box issue.

If you purchase multiple items from a seller and they send everything in one box ( perfectly sensible ) eBay are incapable of handling that return.

This recently happened to me as when I opened a return because the items weren't as described eBay sent a load of QR codes so I called customer service and they told me to use just one for the one box it all came in but now they have only refunding me for the one item as there was only one label used even after assuring me it would OK to use just that one QR code.

It seems most eBay customer service agents are totally incompetent and always give inaccurate information that is inevitably detrimental to you as a buyer and you have no recourse or get compensation or a simple apology for all the time it takes to rectify their incomitance so after 23 years I have lost any trust in buying on eBay so its now the last place I look not the first.

If ebay send you multiple return labels you have to use multiple return labels, unless the seller is willing to refund upfront.

If your seller won't issue the rest of your refunds but you know they have received the items you could use the extra labels to send them something, even if it's just an invoice, to trigger the refunds you're due.

You are missing my point that eBay customer service agents are incompetent given they advised otherwise and should know their own system.

And sending two empty boxes hundreds of miles and all the pollution that would involve just to trigger a refund isn't exactly a green option.

One box issue.

Agreed.

What should have happened is that a single label would be issued and that one tracking number is entered against each of the items to be returned.

A savvy seller should also know this as they will pay for only the one label instead of three.

Exactly and that's why I called eBay customer service and was told that notes would be left on the system saying they had told me to send everything in one box so I get my refund without issue but now I have spent ages on the phone only to be told I need to wait for the seller to refund if and when they feel like it - exemplary customer service from eBay ( I don't think so )
