Hi, I am considering buying from a seller in the US but I am in the UK. Under postage for the item it states "ask seller for a postage quote". I have contacted seller to ask. His response was very confusing. But he has now sent me an offer for the item at a reduced cost. But as I don't know the postage. He has said in a message that is approx 100 to 180 depending on area. But does accepting the offer mean I -
1. have to pay whatever the postage cost is?
Or
2. should he find out the postage and then update the offer to include postage?
Or
3.do I still have the option to back out if the postage is a lot more than he has already estimated, and if I do how do I do this?
Thank you for any help.

He should be able to find out the cost of postage but won't know about the import duty you will have to pay when the item enters the UK. You can always request a cancellation but you'd have paid upfront and not all sellers have to agree to cancel.

I know we would need to sort out the import duties. But seller is being very vague at cost of postage. So really not sure should accept offer for item without knowing the actual postage as don't want to get scammed and not be able to claim a refund if he hasn't put anything on about right to cancel.
I just thought he should be able to find out exact postage and add that on to the offer as postage.
Have requested the postage first but, seller very vague and then just sent an offer which does not include postage.
