New item faulty after 6 months

I bought a new item from seller gettbox, a fairywill toothbrush, item has completely failed after just 6 months, I would be happy with a replacement but seller is refusing to take responsibility, trying to get help from ebay is like some form of torture, I am at this point very angry, it isn't an expensive item but the principle is that it is a new item and it is not fit for purpose, the fact that you cannot get real help from ebay is scandelous and simply not good enough, they are making huge amounts of money and provide no help at all

Ebay only give buyers 30 days cover from date of receipt, they don't offer or get involved with any warranty or guarantee claims.

You might try your payment provider if you paid by debit or credit card but i think you may be out of time to try that now.

If you have the sellers details you could try contacting Citizens Advice (who deal with consumer rights rather than Trading Standards now).

eBay don't offer any help after 30 days, I'm afraid, you are on your own with this one if your card issuer won't refund you.
