Received my money back under the guarantee scheme. Explanation given was "we didn’t receive valid proof of delivery from the seller". Scammed tracking number, wrong postcode, wrong weight, wrong signature etc.

Here's a copy of my last message ....

"

OK thank you for your reply.

So, to be perfectly clear about this, a customer can become a victim of a scam tracking number, have to therefore go to lengthy time consuming efforts to retrieve their money, take trouble to point out in detail the scam and then be told that the seller has appealed. The truth is never revealed to potential buyers.

I have no option but to put this in the public arena so people ARE informed and can make their own minds up whether or not this is acceptable.

I will NOT EVER give you feedback for obvious reasons."

I'd be grateful for your thoughts.

there rules for leaving feedback and if you violate them the feedback can be removed.

for example, the lst neg that's showing that you left could be removed if the seller asked eBay because you said -  "had to get Ebay to step in".

Yes, thanks, aware of those rules but the consequences of those rules are that I cannot leave a message to fellow buyers to beware of what the scammer did. I had to get the guarantee scheme to cough up as he didn't provide evidence of posting. Why should it be unacceptable for me to say that eBay had to step in? Shame on them! What's wrong with the truth? This sort of convoluted/twisted thinking has turned me right off eBay. Too many scams, too much uncertainty/risk and too much to undo when it goes wrong...which it has with increasing regularity for me this year. Just want to buy from a UK seller who has the goods in his hands, dispatches them promptly and communicates quickly. All for a fair price. Not some chinese that can't speak the language, doesn't send the goods or hardly ever replies. Seriously thinking of giving up on eBay.
