International item hasn't left country of origin and is past the expected delivery date

I bought an item from the USA on the 21st October and it arived at the Glendale Heights ebay shipping hub on the 28th. The last tracking update I have had is from the 30th October that Asendia, the courier, have received the shipment information. I've had further update... Asendia don't even have the parcel, it's still at the hub and the expected delivery is between the 6th November and the 14th. Is this delay common? It's been over a week and the parcel definetrly won't arrive in the UK and be delivered in the space of 5 days. Any reasons why this delay could be? Maybe stuck at customs? Thanks

If it is stuck in USA it is unlikely [unless the shipment is of something "vey furtive"] to be with US Customs.

All you can do is open a non-delivery case when the item is one day past the latest date for delivery which was shown on your purchase in your eBay.

I've purchased a few items from the USA that has been handled by Asendia UK & they usually take about 3-4 days.

You can contact them on www.asendia.co.uk , on the page that comes up press 'contact us' top of the page & the drop-down menu will say Tracking number or a Telephone number if you want to speak to them.
