Has the seller provided a tracking number to show delivery?  This then has been confirmed by the postal / courier service used,  and that is all that is required by eBay , to give the seller protection for not refunding.

eBay have to take the proof of a tracking.

Was the item left in an unsafe place and perhaps stolen?  This happens all the time.

If it was a Royal Mail delivery,  ask your postie today where they left the item.
