Filters not working again

What happened to filters they seem to be utterly broken again.  For example if I go to All Vintage Computing (https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_1633884) I no longer see filter by location.  It is all USA.  Another is Monitors (https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_450676) again you can no longer filter by location or by type.

Why?

Filters not working again

It's like a lottery depending on what you're searching for isn't it!

If you click on 'advanced' next to the blue search button, top, you get more options, one being location.

Filters not working again

You can get around it in most cases by playing with the URL...

Notice how your search URLs finish with: /b/bn_1633884 and /b/bn_450676

If you add: /i.html to the end of them, so they become: /b/bn_1633884/i.html and /b/bn_450676/i.html

The 'all filters' box should appear again.

If that doesn't work for you,

The below 2 links display items within 10 miles of BA8 0PS, under £1,600 and sorts them by newly listed...

Vintage computers...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_1633884/i.html?mag=1&_stpos=BA80PS&_sadis=10&_nkw=+&_sop=10&_fspt=1&_fci...

Monitors...

https://www.ebay.co.uk/b/bn_450676/i.html?mag=1&_stpos=BA80PS&_sadis=10&_nkw=+&_sop=10&_fspt=1&_fcid...

You can adjust the "stpost=BA80PS" (postcode) "sadis=10" (distance) and "udhi=1600" (max price) parts of the URL to suit you.

I did notice 2 weeks ago it was cars, then a few days later motorbikes and last week it was lawnmowers, so I was thinking they are perhaps making some sort of changes but doing it one category at a time.

Filters not working again

They seem to come and go randomly these days. I collect antiquarian books. The only filters available at the moment in books are fiction or non fiction. Then it gets broken down into genre.  No point at all wasting my time buying on here when its like that. I could spend hours before finding anything relevant.

Over the last few years Ebay have taken all the fun out of "browsing". I spent ££££'s on here over the years buying stuff I didn't even know I wanted, but it doesn't happen now as they force you down specific narrow channels to suit themselves - not the paying customer.

Commercial suicide. And they must know it, or else they wouldn't have recently moved to free selling.
