Click and Collect not available when 'make an offer' accepted

Unless I'm doing something wrong, if I make an offer on an item, it can be accepted and I'm charged immediately, with no option to switch to 'Click and Collect'.

Any accepted offer defaults to my home address, and given neither of us is there most of the week, Evri parcels sit outside all day, so its far safer for me to have stuff sent to a shop which I pass on my way from work but don't appear to have that option on accepted offers.

Re: Click and Collect not available when 'make an offer' accepted

Many carriers offer the option to redirect parcels to an InPost locker, thus changing from delivery to your home effectively into Click & Collect.

E.g. DPD, Evri, DHL Parcel UK, UPS, fedEx, Royal Mail / Parcelforce Worldwide, Yodel.

You do it via the carrier's website / app / tracking portal. Sender needs to have not set restrictions that'd prevent redirection (e.g. 'signature required'), and to have provided the necessary details to you (e.g. see tracking details at your eBay orders page).

Restrictions exist e.g. re parcel size; time-window (only a parcel in transit and before final delivery attempt).

More details are in the thread 'search by postage type?' message #3, posted 9:36 a.m. on 12.4.26.

Thanks for the reply - wow, that seems like quite a faff when eBay could just insert an option to use Click and Collect on the 'make offer' page!

I am talking about sellers who actually have click and collect as an option, but making an offer skips the option completely. It does look like a shortcoming on their software, and I bet it loses sellers some business.
