Buying Chaos

I appear to have two ebay accounts, one where 99% of my purchases are made, and the other where I have one made.

The other account appears from time to time, when I log on via Google, and it is like a temporary account, so it would seem.

I have brought an item, which was made and accepted by an offer, but the seller is insistent that I haven't brought the item; I believe that he is looking at my main eBay account name, and he hasn't associated the offer - easy to do, I suppose.

I have asked the seller to check on the delivery postcode of the item, which was to a local Argos store. Still waiting for his reply.

I wonder if others have had a similar occurance?

I'm hoping that the purchase has been sent to me - I have an EVRI tracking number, so will see if it arrives!

Logging on via google often opens a brand new ebay account, you may have more than two!

Ideally you need to close the unwanted ones and make sure you always logon using your username and password to prevent it happening again.

The seller has to treat separate accounts as different entities, if you used one of the other ones to buy, you need to use that one when contacting them.

There is no way for the seller to know that you have two accounts. ( unless you tell them)

Are you messaging the seller from the account you bought the item from? ( recommended as they should not respond to a random message about a purchase).

If you go in to your purchase history and the item is there then it should be on its way to you.

Thanks for that - I contacted the seller, asked him to check the purchaser's postcode, and he confirmed it was the same as the one I gave him, so the item is on its way to me after all.

I will ensure that I only have the one account in use, and not go via Google log-in, so this action will sort it - thanks again.
