Everything listed on eBay is covered by eBay's 30 day MBG Money Back Guarantee policy as long as their T & C's are fully observed.

It's hard to tell just from a photo if this is a good or not,  item.  What does the seller's feedback state?  Are they a UK seller , or a registered UK business ?  How long have they been selling?

Those are all the ' clues ' provided for buyers, to judge if a seller is bona fide or not,  when buying items.

One more thing.  Is this a collection item?  Then, payment is made through eBay checkout, cash is not allowed,  and when going to collect the item, fully inspect it, if it is not as described,  do not hand over the collection code. If the seller does not then cancel the order this refunds you,  you open a case for item not received,  escalate on day 4 if not refunded beforehand,  and eBay step in and force the refund.

The seller is a new seller, with no feedback, based in China and the item will be sent from China.

Of course, you have 30 days to start a return using the Ebay Money Back Guarantee, but the item might fail after 4 months and then you could be stuck with a faulty and unsafe, expensive piece of scrap metal.  (Worst case scenario, obviously.)

Personally, for an item of that value, I would look elsewhere and try to find a local, reputable seller.

I've just looked at that item number and the very first thing I thought was "DON'T BUY IT"

I was going to give the reasons why but having just read the replies @jckl1957 pretty much covers everything. It may be cheap (I have no idea how much these things cost) but it really is not worth the risk - I have read in the past of catastrophic failures of Chinese-made jacks/ramps/car lifts, sometimes resulting in serious injury.

Buy something from a UK dealer. It may cost more but at least you'll have some recourse if it does fail.

Also remember that as the importer you are fully responsible and that includes a large bill for import duty.
