I purchased a faulty MacBook for approx £500. I do this regularly to fix them up and sell them on.
This listing was explicity declared as "iCloud removed". For anyone who doesn't know, if an Apple device has iCloud lock (Activation lock) it is effectively a paperweight. Only the person with the Apple ID can remove the device from their account and make it useable again.
It look me over 30 days to repair the faults with the MacBook and get it in a working condition, only to find that it did have iCloud Lock/Activation Lock on it. Of course, by this time the returns window has passed.
All of this time, and money wasted. Is there any recourse? I've calmly explained this to the seller, but am getting no response.
Any advice for me would be appreciated.
Kind regards

It's too late to do anything about it through ebay but you could contact your payment provider and see if they will help with a refund.

If I was spending that much, I'd check the activation lock as soon as I received the item.

It sounds as if you are running a business so it was a B2B transaction and consumer law won't apply.
This will affect your legal rights against the seller and any action you are able to take.
