There are activity limits for new buyers. Adding a credit card to your ebay account for verification should help. In your My eBay go to Account tab, towards top left > Payment information > Payments > click on Add Payment Option.
Or sellers are able to block accounts. Some people are nervous of zero feedback buyers and after spotting your first bids might block the rest. You could contact the seller and check with them.
