Last week I paid just over £150 for an item on ebay. It was a click & collect Argos order. According to the order details and tracking the package was delivered to Argos by Parcelforce a few days ago. However, it still says, "your order is being prepared", and so I have received no barcode or anything to present at Argos. As I had another package to collect at Argos today I asked about the second package. The person I spoke to said it wasn't there, and it wasn't on the 'no eCP code' shelf either. I was advised to ask at Sainsbury's customer services to see if they had the parcel. No, Sainsbury's didn't have it, and I was advised to go back to Argos and ask to speak to the manager. Unfortunately, the person I had previously spoken to at Argos was the manager, and so Argos couldn't help me further.
Working on the assumption that neither Argos nor Sainsbury's have the parcel, I can only conclude that the fools at Parcelfarce have delivered it to the wrong address. Which basically means I'm screwed, doesn't it? Ebay consider a delivered tracked parcel to have reached the buyer, don't they (even if it's delivered to the wrong address)?
So, what (if anything) can I do now? Do I simply accept that I've lost the £150 I paid for this item?
