should you verify account details to seller for a refund

Have been asked by seller to confirm account details for a refund , i have never been asked this before and have recieved refunds through the normal ebay process. is this usual procedure.

Have you opened a case, seller's only get their selling fee refunded if they refund through a case.

There is absolutely no need to verify the details, the refund goes back to where it came from automatically. Seller either has no idea of how refunds should be  made or is using delaying tactics to get you out of time.

YOU MUST open a Case, either for Not Received, or if it is the item that is the problem then a Not As Described Case.
