It would have helped if you gave the item number. Sellers cannot bid on their own items and this is a serious allegation which I doubt you have any way of proving.

You need to be very careful if you intend to make such an allegation.

You can only have to pay £500 for something if that`s what you`ve bid, so if you`ve been bidding against someone, regardless of who it is and they`ve pushed the bidding to £500, then that`s what you pay, if you did`nt want to pay that much, then you should have stopped at whatever you were happy to pay, you can`t be forced to pay more than you bid 🙂
