i recently left negative feedback which was cancelled by ebay

I left negative feedback on a lot I won but did not receive as the buyer cancelled the sale - this was a legal contract, which the buyer broke - Ebay cancelled my negative feedback without contacting me. What is the point in leaving negative feedback if the seller can instantly get it cancelled.

What reason did the seller give for cancellation of the sale.

If it is ever necesssary to leave a negative, just say "Unsatisfactory transaction" or "seller failed to honour the sale" then there are no grounds for removal, and mark the stars down.

That then gives warnings to others, the stars particularly do show more than you are permitted to say.

Did youy mention anything about a refund or case being opened?  Then that broke feedback rules,  and the seller could ask for it to be removed.
