got a partial refund, how do I get the balance if case is closed?

Morning, I placed an order for two fishing reels (from a shop) and returned them via eBay as they were too small. The seller refunded the price of one and now as the case is showing as closed and refunded how do I get the rest of my refund? The seller is saying I need to raise it via eBay but I cannot do this as it shows as closed?

You should have Opened 2 Cases one for each Item if they were bought separately, with two different Item Nos.

they were bought together...as one transaction. The seller says he cannot open another case

You should have been Refunded the Price you Paid for both Reels then. You can Appeal the Case to Ebay. Contact them through Help and Contact at the top of the Page. Type in Customer Support and scroll down to a Phone Link for Ebay to Call you Back. Live Chat may also be available.

Am i missing something here guys, because if the o.p bought and paid for both items, as one transaction, then the total amount should have been frozen once the dispute was opened, then once delivered, o.p gets a full refund, so i can`t understand how the seller has been able to refund for one, effectively a partial refund.

If ebay fail you then you can use a paypal claim the same postage tracking is valid in this case.
