hello how can i make a buy it now purchase and collect the item in person without paying the postage cost.

Has the seller agreed to collection...? Most sellers aren't offering collection at the moment, for obvious reasons, so I'd be very surprised if they have.

But if so, make sure you pay the seller in cash or by bank transfer, once you've fully examined the item and are happy with it. Do not pay by PayPal, as it is not safe for collection items, for either party.

If the seller is willing for you to collect and hasn't got a collection option, then they will have to revise the item with collection for you to buy without postage.  Then you buy, and go and collect and pay the seller in cash.

Main thing assuming seller is willing is to pay in cash you then do not pay postage.

it is then up to the seller to issue an amended invoice without postage, mark as paid and then he does not pay more fees than necessary.
