can a seller amend combined postage settings once items had sold

The seller I want to buy from said she would combine the postage. I then pressed 'buy it now' and now can't request a total. Can the seller amend their settings to allow combined postage? She's asking me to pay in full then she'll reimburse me the difference in postage. I told her I wasn't comfortable with that and she needed to sort it out, but can she? I feel trapped now with the sale as I wouldn't have hit BIN if I knew postage wasn't going to be combined.

Combined postage is simple enough,if you buy two items the seller goes to MORE ACTIONS and selects SEND PAYMENT DETAILS, both items should then show on the one invoice all that is required is to end the postage. There is nothing wrong with what she suggests, but rather foolish. Seller pays fees based on the sale price and when paid the postage.Ebay take 10% paypal 2.9% + 30p. While she can refund whatever she likes the fees are still payable and no refund is made by either Ebay or Paypal.

When a seller agrees to combine postage, you have to win the item, then wait for a revised invoice before paying. If you pay straight away, you pay the postage stated in the listing. The seller can't change this after you've paid.

There's no way of changing it now, short of asking the seller to send you a cancellation request, and relisting the items. This would take time, and the seller would be liable for paypal fees on both transactions, as these are not refundable.

In the circumstances the seller's offer to refund you the difference is entirely sensible. Even this means that she will still have to pay eBay and PayPal's combined fees of about 15% on the original postage costs.
