today i bid on a item  job lot of fishing tackle  bid or make offer  so i bid £30    but i now see the item is not on my watch lit or bidding list  and there is no notification of my bid been cancelled by the seller or ebay  can anyone help to find out where it has gone

are you sure you placed a bid rather than made an offer?

yes because it said i was the higest bidder the only bidder the starting price was £30 thats what i bid also if someone bids am i wright in thinking it removes the option to make offer on that item

sadly i didnt get the number as i was watching the item i thought someone was supposed to tell me before a bid was cancelled either by ebay or the seller the item did state collection only but would post at cost

the item number is showing 193529228935 but says no bids as seller ended early somthing stinks

Go to the listing and click on bids 0.....the seller cancelled your bid and then took the listing down.

he at least should have told me i didnt think you could canel a bid without getting in touch with the winning bidder

sellers can cancel bids and end live listings, they don't have to notify the bidder that they are doing this,

you aren't the winning bidder until the auction ends.

ebay will charge them 10% of the highest cancelled bid

no but i was winning at the start and at least ebay get another three quid and thats all they are botherd about
