Why do ebay allow so many fraudulent sellers.

Look at Triumph Stag listings and you will find one guy selling a few Stags at low prices. He has only had 10 transactions in the last 12 months and yet is listing 1500 odd items. All seem to require direct payment avoiding Ebay fees. They having only one picture of the car and one of the payment instructions. Surely the most basic checking software should spot the fakes?

If buyers were not gullible enough to pay large amounts of money for a vehicle they have not seen and which probably only exists in a magazine then the Scammers would be out of business.

Commonsense should warn most people that no seller has a 1000 cars in their driveway.

The scammers never pay a penny in fees, as any invoice goes to the account owner who may well never use their account or may even have died. Think what 1500 hundred listing fees would amount to. (Over £20,000)

The account has been hacked, as soon as ebay remove it, scammers find another account to open or hack.
