Sorry for the long question.
I should have known that this would have been a problem from Sunday, but carried on anyway because I REALLY want the item. Some large wooden crates, I explained before bidding that I would need to collect in several goes as they're really big (over 80cm cube)this was fine. On I won, and asked for collection time/ address. Took 3 days to get back to me and we arranged that I would collect Monday at 10 am. What's the address? seller responce "Google it." I should have given up then.
I turned up and nothing was ready fro colleciton - there was loads of furniture in front of it. "one of my drivers is off sick and everything's backed up." I offered to come back at the same time today instead.
This morning I turned up "Have you got anyone to help you load? cos I'm going now. Can you come back tomorrow and bring someone with you?"
I can't get anyone to take the whole morning off work while I drive to and fro collecting these. I could have brought 4 of them home by now.
My question is, do I keep trying or cancel and cut my losses? I REALLY want them, they're perfect for my project, but I can just see me turning up every day this week and not bringing any of them home.
TIA
The seller's messing you around. You still haven't managed to get the first crate yet, let alone any of the others that you intended to bring home on subsequent trips, so given that the seller has been so obstructive so far I really can't see you getting the items that you paid for. Open an eBay case against the seller, and if he doesn't make a positive effort to resolve the problem amicably in the meantime then escalate the case to eBay so that you can get your money refunded. You may well want these items really badly, but if the seller's behaving like a complete tosser then what's the point in trying to deal with him reasonably when he won't do the same in return for you?
