UK. Need to return an item. Seller has provided an address that doesn't exist (not on Royal Mail db)

I'm in the UK.

Bought a socket set but my wife had already bought me the same one. Needed to return it. It's come from a UK drop seller warehouse in the midlands, sold by someone in China (if that makes sense!). The seller really doesn't want me to return it (will give you discount, etc.), but I have no need for it.

Seller has then given me an address which isn't on the UK mail database (Unit W9, Westpoint, WS9 8DT). Any idea what I do?

Open a returns case and if they don't provide a correct address by the time you can escalate (day 9) then you ask eBay to step in. Use whatever label eBay provide you with at this point to return the item. If they give you the same address and the po won't accept it, you'll need to contact eBay and either talk or live chat to a real human who can understand the issue. You'll likely end up with a no return refund if eBay have to force a decision. The seller obvs will lose out on this instance.
