Royal mail putting xmas custom at risk with slow deliveries? Tracking no help either!

My orders are taking ages to arrive and the tracking remains static as dispatched.Royal mail is letting its customers down  ,if buying gifts there are doubts whether they will arrive in time for Christmas.

royal mail deliver billions of items every year and christmas is clearly their stressful period, but people who buy off here have to do their bit as well, by buying stuff within a good time frame allowing for delays, people can`t  blame the sellers or ebay for their own shortcomings. i buy alot of stuff off this site, but i stop buying anything a couple of weeks before and any items i`m selling get removed as well.

Christmas is no different than anything else, it`s all about the planning 🙂

Thanks for all replies. Despite buying from reputable buyers and allowing plenty of time .I think 10 days over an already generous expected delivery date and still not delivered is rediculous.

It helps to vet the sellers you buy from, ratings like 68% and sub 90% etc are a red flag sign.

Don't blame Royal Mail, there are always delays at Christmas even in normal times. That is why they give dates for posting.

It is up to people posting to allow time for delivery. Foolish to leave posting until the last moment, but I have not had any problems with deliveries from me or to me.

Just because tracking does not show as delivered, doesn't mean that an item has not arrived.
