Purchase made in March, still havent received item, can't contact seller, what should i do?

I purchased an item from France at the beginnung of March which i still havent received. At first i was giving it the benefit of the doubt because of covid but as its been over three months now im getting worried. Also i wanted to contact the seller but there is no option to do so. I tried the ebay help section but it was useless as it wouldnt let me continue without clicking "wring address given" or something like that which is no good because i gave the correct address. Any help would be appreciated,  thank you

You're way out of time to open an eBay item not received dispute, by months now.

If you paid with PayPal, log into PayPal, find the payment and open an item not received dispute there.

Oh no!
The seller didn't have a PayPal option open at the time, only bank transfer. If I had known there was a time limit on it I would have contacted sooner, I've just experienced 2 month delays with parcels from other countries so thought because of Covid I would wait.

If you paid with bank transfer you'd have no cover from eBay anyway, that's an unsafe payment method and offers no buyer protection whatsoever I'm afraid.

I thought it sounded unsafe alright but when I was purchasing, bank transfer was listed as a payment method on the listing on eBay so I thought it was therefore safe. At least it was only 18 euros

It's used in Germany a lot, where the rules are different. I believe that France is the same as UK though, and sellers have to offer and accept PayPal.

Very strange, as the user was in France, how was it allowed to advertise a listing without having PayPal as an option?
