Hi, I have received an item which is faulty and not fit for purpose, the seller is only offering me a partial refund and doesn't want the item back. I have stated I am not prepared to accept a partial refund when the item is not of any use, I have paid for something I can't use. Should they not be also refunding me the initial postage costs, and if they do change their mind and want the item back, shouldn't they also have to pay for the return postage.
I have got absolutely nothing for my money!
I have already opened a case with ebay and the seller and I have exchanged messages, but they are still adamant they are only offering a partial refund. I have said to them I am happy for ebay to intervene in due course, but wondered if the seller was allowed to do this?
Thank you
Stop communicating with the seller, and simply escalate the case to Ebay on the date shown (bearing in mind that Ebay works on the 24-hour clock, nor calendar days). Ebay will automatically force a full refund of the whole of your original payment, and slap a damaging defect on the seller's account for not doing what is required of him as per the Money Back Guarantee (which he agreed to abide by when he registered his account).
go to the :-
and open a not as described case, the seller will then have to pay a full refund
