Package not received(fault of parcel service) but seller received back the package,didn't get refund

Has anyone ever experienced the same?!

 

I have been buying/selling on ebay around 10 years now (771 stars, if that matters ),maybe I am not following the new updates about ebay services,  but  this is a bit surprising for me anyway

 

Unfortunately, the postal service returned the item to the seller with a comment that they were unable to deliver the item, even if I have been available on the address given.

The seller has received back the item as it clearly shows in the discussion with the seller (he even sent me pictures about the received package).

 

And I haven't received any refund back which I wouldn't think as a fair decision as I have paid for both the item and the postage total and I haven't received back even the price of the item (vinyl album).

 

I wouldn't call this as an equal or clear measurement of the situation.

Yes, you are right, you are not up to date with the present policies...

 

refunds are not automatically given, you have to open not received case....

 

you either click on the ebays logo.  money back guaranteed or scroll down to bottom of page to resolution centre and open a case of " item not received" and follow instructions...

 

the seller will not give you a refund unless you do this as it would result in the seller having a damaging defect on their account. !

 

seller centre is the place to go to catch up with what to do in your present circumstances....
