Missing parts not put in listing

Need advice on an item i bought. The item was listed as used and in a used condition.  Item was a prym knitting machine/loom it should have feet or legs to raise it above your table so the knitting can freely move out of the machine. The seller only had a vague description and nowhere did it state that these parts were missing but neither did is say the item was complete. The main part of the machine works. Can i ask for a refund or because it didn't state the item was complete is the mistake mine.

If the item was collected, then the fault is yours. Buyers must fully examine a collection item before handing over cash and taking the item away. That is the law - caveat emptor (buyer be aware).

But contact the seller and see what they say. They may be willing to part-refund if you're happy to keep the machine, or to accept it back for a full refund.

It depends, if the listing didn't state it wasn't complete and the missing parts are critical to the item, then yes you have a case (otherwise, unfortunately not).

If the item cannot be operated correctly without the legs and the legs would have been supplied when new I don't think it's unreasonable to open a claim for not as described.
