Hello. I purchased an item recently from a business seller, which was dispatched on Wednesday last week. The delivery method used was RM 1st Class. Unfortunately, I have still not received the item. Would it be remiss of me to open an Item Not Received claim at this point or should I wait a few more days to see if it arrives? In normal circumstances I would have done so already after this amount of time has elapsed, but I appreciate that there are postal delays in some areas due to the pandemic.
Yes, it would be remiss of you. Deliveries are quite naturally being badly delayed everywhere at the moment, so I wouldn't open an INR case till the end of this week at the earliest. You have 30 days from the delivery estimate on the order in which to open an Ebay case, so there's no rush.
No harm in waiting, you could just let the seller know.
After opening a case if still not arrived or no refund you do have to wait 8 days before you can escalate so under normal circumstances that would give plenty of time to arrive.
