I opened a case for an item not received and asked eBay to step in a week ago, the item page says c

A week ago I asked eBay to step in on a case for an item 8 hadn't received, the case is showing pending still yet it says I should hear in 2 days, I have contacted eBay online chat twice now and both times I get different answers, both say it's being refunded, the first said it would be in my account the next day to which there was nothing, the s3cond said the first time failed and was being tried again but can take up to 10 days

 

is there anyone 8 can actually speak to about this as I think 8m being messed around as when I've had this in the past I have had an email to say the case has been ruled in m6 favour and refunded and money in m6 bank in couple of days

Ebay must be investigating your claim for some reason. Maybe because the sum involved is not small, or because the seller has supplied tracking proving delivery. No-one here can know (we're just ordinary ebayers like you).

 

You can't phone Ebay at present because of the pandemic - the only customer service currently available is via Live Chat. So you'll just have to sit tight and wait for their decision.

How did you originally pay?  refunds go back to original payment aource.

 

Paying  with Paypal funds ,  t goes back to your Paypal account fairly swiftly.

 

Debit card payment ?  Back to your bank account within 7 days.

 

Credit Card payment ?  It can take up to 30 days to appear back in that card account.
