I have received a legitimate ebay £5.00 off your next purchase, using a code provided. When I enter

I received a "£5 of your next purchase" offer from Ebay by email. I checked and opened in browser and am happy it is legit. But when I entered the code provided (cut & pasted) it would not accept it. I have checked the redeem voucher help page but still no luck. I want to contact Ebay to ask what is going on, but can't get to chat or a phone number. It requires the seller to accept paypal & to pay via paypal, which they do, and I wanted to pay that way. But no luck.

Anyone else come across this or got a chat link?

A friend had two offers on different IDs and both worked. I would guess that reading the T & C would answer the question as the option to withdraw /close these offers at any time is usually a condition.

Have you fully read the voucher's T&Cs...?  That should give you your answer.  But if not, Help & Contact is at top and foot of any page, with Live Chat and Request-a-callback available during working hours.

I have the voucher but haven't tried it yet.  It being eBay I had a sneaky suspicion something like this might happen.
