I bought an item and paid for it. The seller says I haven’t paid and has opened a case.

I bought an item and paid for it( I always pay immediately) but the seller says I haven't paid and has now opened a case. I checked and eBay status says I have paid and my paypal account shows I have paid. What can I do?

Log into your Paypal account and check if the payment there is showing as paid but unclaimed.  If so that means there's a problem with the seller's payment email address on the listing and they have not received the payment (they wouldn't be able to open an Unpaid Item case if it had gone through).   You should be able to cancel it.    Ask the seller to check the email on the listing.    If necessary they can cancel the transaction and relist with the correct email address for you to buy and pay again.
