I am trying to bid on an item but it keeps returning to bid area without noting my bid

I am trying to bid on item but it keeps returning to bid and not accepting my bid. Seller does not know why either?

Does it have a reserve on the item?  Minimum placed  bid for that is £50,  and could be set higher.
