How do I communicate with a seller about an item if they don't respond to messages I sent them?

Re: communication problem with seller.

I baught a lantern clock 2 weeks ago, I asked the seller a question about the clock a few times a couple of days before the auction ended, I got no response.  a Couple of other bidders asked questions about the clock before the auction ended and the seller responded to them.  I also messaged the seller a few times before the auction ended and I got no response.  I won the auction and payed for the clock. one week later, the clock still isn't posted, I sent the seller a message asking him when the clock will be posted and got no response and the clock is still not posted as of Today.  I looked at the seller's feedback and I found somebody baught something from this seller last November, had poor communication with this seller, the buyer also stated that the item they baught from him was not marked as despatched on eBay and that they considered the item as being lost in the post.  Most other feedback fro this seller is good.  It seems that there could be a tecnical issue between some buyers and this seller. I can't get help in the resolution center on this issue and there are no problems with this transactoin in paypal or in my bank account, so the sellre recieved the money but didn't yet post the clock.  I would like to communicate with the seller to to find out if the clock has being posted, and if it is not yet posted, when will it be posted. I am wondering what I should do about this situation.

1 day after estimated delivery date, open ebay case for not received, escalate on day 9,

ignore seller excuses, if they reply.
