How come there are a lot of Chinese sellers saying that their good are from or in the UK when they are clearly being posted from mainland China .
DONT get me wrong i don't mind who the seller is or where they come from but i do mind how long it takes to get it he from China .
I think that its decetful by the seller and Ebay for allowing them to do this as it is destroying the format and the reliability of Ebay as a perchasing platform
If the seller has a warehouse based in the UK then they're probably getting around it that way. That doesn't make it right, though - if the item is going to be coming to the UK from China then sellers should make that clear in the listing, rather than saying that the item's somewhere in the UK - for example, one item I ordered years ago shortly after I first joined eBay said it was in Portsmouth but when it finally arrived the package had a CN22 sticker on it that made it clear that it had been posted from Hong Kong. I've got no objection to Chinese sellers selling on eBay - I just think that if they are shipping goods out from China then they should be up front about the fact that the item is located in China, rather than misleading buyers into believing that the item is located in the UK. One clue to look out for, though, other than a business address based somewhere in China, is an extremely long delivery time of three to four weeks. An item posted from the UK wouldn't take three to four weeks to reach a buyer in the UK, not even with the current coronavirus pandemic that's currently slowing the postal service down to some extent.
there's numerous such complaints and blaming eBay for allowing it to happen.
But I've only ever seen one buyer leave feedback to reflect their experience and doing that would help put a stop to it - why not try it?
