Help!

I won an item last week but as soon as the auction ended the seller cancelled the item saying she wanted more money. I was the only bidder but my problem is eBay is still asking me to pay the money? I’ve had emails and on my eBay page it has PAY. NOW in red even tho you can see it says seller requested cancellation. What do I do because it’s looking bad on me even altho she cancelled so why am I still being asked to pay and. What can I do about it?

Ignore.  Ebay's emails are payment reminders, that's all.  Ebay couldn't care less whether you pay or not, as they get their selling fee the second a buyer buys or an auction is won, not when the buyer pays.  You'll stop receiving reminders after 30 days or so.

Sounds as though the seller has not cancelled or at least not cancelled properly, if so they still pay the selling fee.

If they realise this they may open an Unpaid Case. If they do, while you could appeal I have very little faith in ebay removing an unpaid strike, so I would suggest payin and when the seller doesnot deliver, open a Not Received case to get a full refund.

There are two advantages to this, you can leave negative feedback, just say "Seller would not honour the sale" and mark down the stars, the other is the seller ends up having to pay Paypal Fees which are not refundable. Might teach them a lesson.

Only very foolish sellers list at a price they are not happy to sell at. In the present climate bidders are a dying breed and hoping that an auction will attract more than one bid means the seller is living in cloud cuckoo land.
