Help - buyer now says item damaged but too late to retract bid

2 hours left to go on the auction and seller's just contacted me to say the item's damaged

Obviously I don't want it now, but apparently it's too late in the process for either of us to cancel ... I've tried and it won't let me and she tells me she can't either

What happens now please? I don't want an unpaid strike on my account, but it's hardly fair to expect me to pay when this should have been disclosed to start with

the seller can cancel your bid

all she needs to do is use this link:-

Cancel Bids on Your Listing

you will only get a non payment strike if the seller completes a non payment case, and she isn't likely to do that if she is the omne that wants to cancel!

Ah - thanks, Pixie. She's just contacted me to say she'll cancel the sale once it's completed (?) so let's hope it happens!!

I thought the same, but she definitely said she can't do this with less than 2 hours to go, and there's not much I can do to influence matters

she can, she just doesn't want to!

make sure you keep all the messages, so if she does decide to go down the non payment route you can appeal it.
