Foreign sellers pretending to be based in U.K.

Has anybody else experienced problems with foreign sellers pretending to be based in U.K. then providing (apparently) false tracking data which Royal Mail do not recognise?

This is on the rise, the Chinese are hiding their identities and pretending to be UK based by using holding addresses in London, Bristol, Leicester plus using Royal Mail trade marks, Union flag UK based on their ads EBAY have been aware of this for years but all they are interested is money money money. Their tracking numbers as well as their VAT numbers are totally boigus. I now look very carefully where stuff is coming from, I ask seller where stuff was maufactured snd if I dont get a satisfactory answer I dont buy, spelling and grammar is a good clue.PAY A LITTLE EXTRA AND BUY UK MANUFACTURED GOODS.

There are thousands of Chinese sellers on Ebay who have distribution facilities in the UK, and the vast majority are genuine. There are however, some who ship from China, and this is reportable. The estimated delivery time should give you a clue as to where the item will be coming from, but if you are given an estimated delivery date, and that date has passed, you can open a case for not received. However, in the present Covit situation it would be unreasonable to open a case without allowing possibly a week extra, as deliveries are affected.
