If i was to purchase an item on Ebay, When would i be expected to pick up the item? As we are not supposed to make unecessary journeys.
Ask the seller - only they can know how long they're happy to wait. It has nothing to do with Ebay.
However, you could fit in a collection with an 'essential' journey. And there are ways of collecting that don't mean you have to encroach on one another's 2-metre space. Be creative!
Collection items should only be paid for in cash, or by bank transfer, once you've fully examined the item and are happy with it. Do not pay with PayPal - it's not a safe payment method for collections, for either party.
Don't buy an item if you have to make a journey to collect it.
Can't you have it sent to wherever you are at the moment?
the latest update in the GREEN box at top of page.
Just to mention that eBay's "Green box" at the top of the page only appears on the landing page, or when searching for or viewing items.
Rather absurdly - and only eBay could manage this - it doesn't appear on the pages members would use to look for information on this, including eBay's own announcements page and this answer centre.
Is this an essential item to buy now?
Can you perhaps find a seller who can post / courier this item to you. ?
