Disabled buyer, 22kg goods damaged, seller refused to collect and said feedback extortion

22kg giant box arrived from seller in Germany with big hole in the side, seller accepts return and sends a pre-paid parcelforce label. Now, I have to go to the post office to drop off. Only one issue, I'm in a wheelchair and am alone.

I ask if they can arrange a collection. No, they said. OK so I send by UPS.

Now they refuse to return my courier costs. Great, so I left neg feedback "seller refused to return courier costs".

This morning I get a feedback extortion note from Ebay and a shirty email from seller "for this I submitted a complaint to the public prosecutor's office for “attempted coercion”, who agreed to forward this complaint to the English police."

edit: just got an email from seller saying I have a mental disability as well as physical. Lovely.

Any thoughts?

Serious question though: the first time I mentioned feedback was after he point blank refused to refund return carriage and I said “I have left you negative feedback”
Seriously, is that extortion? Under what circumstances could leaving a review be extortion? What’s the point of feedback then as the threat of negative is implied in every transaction if you fail to give good service?!

You said the Seller sent you a Pre Paid Parcel Force Label. ". Then you leave Negative Feedback Stating "Seller Refused to return Courier Costs." ???? They provided you with a Returns Label.

As in courier, yes. I guess it comes down to whether a collection was a reasonable adjustment under law.
Imagine you’d bought a faulty giant fridge and Curry’s said you have to take it to the post office. It’s the same issue of proportionality.
In all honesty, this is why I buy 95% of my stuff from Amazon. They collect returns and don’t make their customers dance.

You can't compare Amazon & Ebay.
Amazon you mostly buy direct from Amazon, ebay you buy from seller using ebay site to list on.
You are covered by MBG, as well as UK consumer law, but ebay will only deal with their own MBG.
